Really enjoyed the #UCLAAndersonTED panel today after the Reid Hoffman talk. Great way to add value to the live stream. http://t.co/8w691Wpy
TED’s core mission of Ideas Worth Spreading aligns perfectly with our mission to develop the next generation of influential leaders who will create their own ideas worth spreading – and activating – through a learning culture that values individual vision, rigor and teamwork. It is simply in the UCLA Anderson DNA. From the development of innovative interest rate models used on Wall Street (Eduardo Schwatz and Francis Longstaff), to developing a home breast cancer test (Dr. Susan Love '98) to creating Google’s advertising model (Susan Wojcicki '98), the collective result of our body of work has cemented UCLA Anderson's reputation as a school which translates bold ideas into successful, real-world solutions.
Post-conference, UCLA Anderson students have remain engaged with TED, evolving the ideas generated from the TED Active Summit. Select ideas will be analyzed during a specially-tailored TED/UCLA Anderson case competition, where feasibility study and rigorous discourse will advance the ideas into fully-formed execution plans.
